Change the Story of Your Health
A physician may have the persona of a wise healer, all-knowing about what to do to be healthy. Yet, the shadow for her might be failure to acknowledge her own unhealthiness and to practice what she preaches.
A man could be a critic of the lifestyle choices of others and an expert in what to do to be healthy. Yet, he may not apply these principles of healthy living to his own life.
The story of your health may not be what you would like it to be. Although there are aspects of it that can’t change, there are many that can. Using Jungian and shamanic techniques can help you to change the story of your health—its themes and its chapters.
What is the story of your health? Perhaps it is a story called:
- I just want to fix my health and get back to my old life.
- I don’t want to admit that I’m afraid of my body aging and becoming unreliable.
- I need more rest and sleep but I don’t know how to make time for them.
- I’m working on improving my health because I’ve become aware of my limitations and my mortality, and I’m scared.
I believe you can change the story of your health, writing a new one, and bringing it to life. You might begin by reading and working with my book Change Your Story, Change Your Life: Using Jungian and Shamanic Tools to Achieve Personal Transformation.
